Promoting Sustainable Regional Development through Additive Manufacturing: A Cross-Border Initiative for Resilient and Circular Economy

Project description:

The main goal of the ADDCIRCLES project is to empower regional businesses and networks for additive manufacturing (AM). AM technology is highly suited to the business environment of the region as it allows for the production of high-value-added products through the development of sustainable solutions. ADDCIRCLES will encourage the regions to transition towards a resilient and circular economy. The project aims to promote the implementation of AM in a way that improves resource efficiency in production, while also encouraging recycling and the use of natural materials. This goal will be achieved through the establishment of cross-border value chain cooperation networks and two pilot projects that facilitate knowledge transfer at various stakeholder levels.

Based on these challenges, ADDCIRCLES has the following three objectives:
– To develop innovative solutions and methodologies for green AM and achieve closed-loop material use in additive manufacturing.
– To encourage the implementation of additive manufacturing in industry by connecting networks and creating real business cases.
– To strengthen knowledge of additive manufacturing among professionals at various levels.
