The main objective of the project is the development of advanced power transmission components made from polymeric materials (gears), which will meet the requirements of customers and significantly exceed the existing situation.

Project description:

The target application of the project is high performance polymer gearboxes for e-bikes’ central drive system. In order to assure market success, it must be better, in respect to weight and capacity, than our competitors. Za uspeh na trgu morajo biti po teži in zmogljivosti boljši od konkurence.

Knowledge transfer in the fields of advanced materials, material characterization, product design optimization with high geometric accuracy, innovative technologies in tooling and smart material processing and simulations of industrial processes, will allow us to take advantage of synergies between research organizations and industrial project partners, and thus greatly raise both developmental and innovation capabilities of all partners involved. We also plan to increase our exports of high value-added products and enter new markets. Prav tako načrtujemo poečanje izvoza izdelkov z visoko dodano vrednostjo in prodor na nove trge.

Ambicija projekta je:

  • razviti in optimirati nov polimerni material in zanj razviti ustrezne karakterizacijske metode,
  • razviti metodo optimiranega načrtovanja izdelkov z visoko geometrijsko natančnostjo,
  • razviti inovativno tehnologijo tako na področju izdelave orodij kot s pametnimi senzorji nadzorovan in v realnem času adaptivno krmiljen proces predelave materialov.

Nenehno medsebojno komuniciranje vseh sodelujočih strokovnjakov in stalne izmenjave informacij, bodo kljub naraščajoči kompleksnosti v fazah izvedbe projektao pripomogle k celostnemu pristopu raznovrstnih interakcij in tako olajšale preverjanje inovativnih idej. Hkrati bomo v projektu omogočili hitro validacijo vseh opisanih konceptov. Takšen potek projekta odpira nišne priložnosti na različnih področjih: področju materialov, razvoja izdelkov, simulacijskega načrtovanja, proizvodnih tehnologij in testiranj.

TECOS's role:

The main role of TECOS within the project is to assist in developing new methods for advanced material production using modern simulation methods to develop tool production which will include the creation of a controlled and real-time adaptably controlled material processing.
