The visit of the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Her Excellency Kang Yan, to the Municipality of Celje was also aimed at strengthening business ties. Representatives of the companies Etra and the TECOS Slovenian Tool and Die Development Centre met with the ambassador and the Chinese delegation.
The ambassador visited the Municipality of Celje together with advisors for economic affairs and education, showing strong interest in economic opportunities. During the meeting, the Mayor of the Municipality of Celje, Matija Kovač, highlighted in particular the significant potential the city sees in establishing new strategic partnerships with China, including in the areas of economic cooperation, green transition, mobility, research and development collaboration, and congress tourism.
Etra and TECOS already maintain excellent cooperation with the Chinese company Hisense Gorenje. Dr. Aleš Hančič, Director of TECOS, also highlighted TECOS’s role as a demo center for HAITIAN plastic injection molding machines, adding that such meetings open up new opportunities for strengthening existing collaborations.
