The main purpose of the H2020 LEVEL-UP project is to offer a scalable platform covering the overall lifecycle, ranging from the digital twins setup, modernisation actions to diagnose and predict the operation of physical assets, to the refurbishment and remanufacturing activities towards end of life according to I4.0.


The OISAIR Project pursues the final goal of establishing the Open Innovation System of the Adriatic-Ionian Region (OISAIR), a single competitive and attractive marketplace for technology and innovation at macro-regional level. OISAIR intends to strengthen the development of industrial and entrepreneurial activities within a virtuous circle involving relevant stakeholders, from research institutions to SMEs and public administration in the Adriatic-Ionian Region. Coordinated by Area Science Park (Italy), the OISAIR project is co-funded by the Interreg ADRION Programme and is developed in collaboration with 6 partners based in the Adrion Region: University of Basilicata; HR – National Chamber of Economy; RS – Belgrade Technology Park; SI – Ljubljana Technology Park; AL – Ministry of Finance and Economy; GR – Centre for Research & Technology Hellas.


SAMANTHA project wants to anticipate with this up/reskilling strategy, especially in VET (Vocational Education and Training) field because the current European VET offer has to respond to such challenges and take advantage of great opportunities ahead as the gap that exists in the Toolmaking and Habitat sector. 


The purpose of KOC-TOP- The competence centre for factories of the future is to respond to the need for partner companies to introduce the competencies of the future which are needed in the age of the 4th Industrial Revolution and Society 5.0 as the boundary between the physical and digital worlds disappears.


Improve the implementation of regional development policies and programmes, in particular programmes for Investment for Growth and Jobs and, where relevant, ETC programmes, that support the delivery of innovation by actors in regional innovation chains in areas of “smart specialisation”.

BioTHOP project indorses a new circular economy for improved hop waste management, that combines alternative bioplastic twine materials based on poly(lactic acid) (PLA), with ability to be converted into novel feedstock for 100% biodegradable, compostable and recyclable packaging & horticulture product accessories.

There is a high potential for transnational cooperation in central Europe to promote the bottom-up implementation of smart specialisation strategies (RIS3). But much of it remains unexploited. The S3HubsinCE project unleashes this potential by generating new transnational support structures. These will be based on connected “Digital Innovation Hubs” (DIH), creating stronger links between relevant stakeholders in the key technology priority areas, including advanced manufacturing and materials, ICT, nanotech, as well as biotech and medical devices.


TECOS Slovenian Tool and Die Development Centre have been cooperating with Gorenje for the development of new household appliances for many years. Last year we upgraded the cooperation with participation in the project SPOT: The Development of Breakthrough Technology-based Self-adaptive Household Appliances.


The main objective of the project is the development of advanced power transmission components made from polymeric materials (gears), which will meet the requirements of customers and significantly exceed the existing situation.


Slovenian Tool and Die Development Centre (TECOS) together with the project partners is launching a new research and development project CoSiMa. The project is strategically important and priority in S4: (S) INDUSTRY 4.0, Factories of the Future. One of its key objectives is to automate and digitize production.


An European project will valorise post-consumer plastic waste and newsprint paper for new construction, packaging and automotive parts.

The customer has presumed problems with excessive warpage in the stage of tool design. The material is PA66 with 30% of glass fibers. With the help of advanced injection moulding analysis we predicted the trend and values of warpage and thus successfully eliminated the problems.
