The WBA experts from Aachen presented the results of many years of studies, in addition to the comparisons of German and other leading global toolmakers’ business practice. This gave the Slovene participants guidelines that will definitely help them in planning improvements, determining development priorities and future business orientations of Slovenian toolmaking companies.
This pilot training program with the WBA included a review of the tool industry management in Germany. The topics of the three-day training (October 17 – 19) included the strategic management, industrialisation, optimisation and planning systems, the review of manufacturing technologies, automation and review of new advanced technologies. This training, based on the international exchange of good business practices also indicated new opportunities, both in the intensification of cooperation in the field of training and in the sharing of applied practices with German toolmakers.
The WBA brings together experts from the German WZL Institute - Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering of RWTH University and the Fraunhofer IPT – Institute for Production Technology, who is seen as the leaders in the overall support of the tool industry. The speakers were Maximilian Stark, mag. Jan Wiese and Felix Rittestieg, from WZL, and Marcel Prümmer and Marcel Wilms, members of the Fraunhofer IPT – Institute for Production Technology.
The training took place at TECOS and was attended by representatives of Kovinoplastika Lož, Gorenje Orodjarna and Kolektor Orodjarna.
We thank all participants and speakers for their pro-active cooperation. We are sure that we will continue to improve this pilot training programme and, through the international exchange of experience and good business practices, we will contribute to the development of Slovenian toolmaking and further deepen our ties with the German tool-making industry.
