Project description:
The aim of the project GOSTOP is emphasis on the acceleration of the development of the Smart factories concepts in Slovenia and is in the same time answer on the actual needs of Slovenian industry since some companies already start with an implementation of the Smart Factory concepts in their production processes. The project is combining R&D competences of 13 companies and 6 RR institutions which have compatible R&D programmes and already conduct R&D in the field of smart factories concepts. Within the GOSTOP project 4 different research fields are identified: control technologies, tooling, robotics, and photonics which have at the same time breakthrough potential for Slovenian production sector. The project combine also more vertical value chains leading towards development of new products that would improve competitiveness of the Slovenian industry. The GOSTOP includes the development of new products and technologies with the leading role of agile SMEs and on the other hand the development of common concept of Smart Factory, which will lead to the set up uniform integrated systems to be used by the big production companies in order to optimise their production processes and to develop new high-added value products. Example of such product is smart factory turnkey platform which would be launch to global market. The successful implementation of the project will enable significant increase of added value and export potential per each participating company or industrial partner.
Tecos' role:
TECOS is leader of two R&D subprojects RDP3 – Smart mechatronics tools and high production systems with smart platform and RRP4 – Development of demonstration smart mechatronics tool and production line with smart platform prototype. Within the proposed subprojects new generation of industrial tools being integrated in IIoT system (Industrial Internet of Things) and including new materials and surface treatments will be developed. Especially for them new structures for mounting, self-control and calibration systems will be developed as well. Mechatronic tools are clarified as cross cutting fields between control technologies e.g. data processing, IoT and robotics as the final user of the smart industrial tools and photonic which will be applied in the field of development new materials and surface treatments technologies.
